About

Maria Marotta is an interdisciplinary artist and creative marketer from Cleveland Ohio. Her focus is in sculpture and installation. In her installations, sculpture and poetic video combine to nail down midwestern yearning. She is preoccupied with trains stretching toward the horizon and ladders that cannot reach. Maria’s work wrestles with longing and loneliness: attempting to express a generational desire for connection.
